Actor Rob Lowe of “Brothers & Sisters” fame, portraying  the character of Senator Robert McCallister was extremely lucky as his house survived the week long wild fires that have caused significant damage to the basic infrastructure in that area. Though he was lucky enough to escape the damage, he offered condolences to all those who have lost everything in this unfortunate event.

In a statement given by this “Brothers& Sisters” star, he said that the fire was spreading at such a rate that he himself was in a dilemma whether to evacuate his home or to wait and watch. On Monday, Rob Lowe joined his dear friend Arnold Schwarzenegger who has transformed from a bodybuilding world champion, to a great actor and is now very successful as Governor of California. There he said to the reporters, “I could see the flames from my back yard. We were crossing our fingers.”

The aim behind “Brothers & Sisters”, Robert Lowe’s joining Schwarzenegger was to bring forth, the seriousness of the damage caused by these devastating wild fires and offer locals his support: “It’s very sad. Friends and neighbors have lost their whole lives. But it’s also inspiring because you see this community come together.” Short circuiting due to faulty electrical equipments has been suspected as main reason for breakout of these fires. Near about eighty homes have already been burnt to ashes due to these wild fires and more damage is certainly on the cards.

It is heartening to see that star of such a great television drama like “Brothers  & Sisters”, came out in public for the support of the cause. Robert Lowe, in spite of escaping the dire consequences of the ongoing wildfires in California, has definitely set an example to others to be unselfish and use their celebrity image for championing the cause of the majority. Watching “Brothers  & Sisters“, has always been a pleasing experience but now knowing that stars involved in it are not only great actors but great human beings as well will definitely add to my fun of watching the show.
