My all time favorite and most awaited series ‘Brothers & Sisters‘ is back for season three. I am not the one to go for family dramas but this show had me hooked from the day one. Despite dealing with the problems faced by the Walker siblings, the show has not degenerated into another tear jerker. The cast is wonderful and they all have such amazing talent that it feels as if Walkers are real brothers & sisters. Performance of all involved is simply superb, especially Sally Field, Racheal Griffiths and Matthew Rhys. The sibling interaction on the show is real, interesting, and usually dysfunctional which they all know and admit their quest for perfection despite knowing well that they won’t find it. Sally Field is mom all the way, putting her children before her even after they have grown up. Sally is such a wonderful actress and equally wonderful person. Recently, she spoke about her experiences of working and the time she spent with Paul Newman before his unfortunate demise in a meeting organized in the honor of award winning actor by his family, friends and colleagues.

Field said, “I was blessed to have known him. The world is better because of him. Sometimes God makes perfect people and Paul Newman was one of them.” The legendry entertainment icon is known for inspiring many with his success and philanthropic works. Many other well known actors including George Clooney, John Cusack, David Letterman, Martin Scorsese and Robert Redford spoke in the honor of the great actor. Paul lost his battle with cancer at the age of 83. As announced by his publicist, he was surrounded by his family and friends in his last hours in his farm house in Westport, Connecticut.

She learned from the legend himself as she acted along with him in 1981 film ‘Absence of Malice’. Apparently, Sally was inspired enough by the prolific and talented Newman that she won Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama recently for her work. And we all love her so much for her role of Nora Walker, matriarch of Walker family.
