On Monday, Rob Lowe joined his dear friend Arnold Schwarzenegger who has transformed from a bodybuilding world champion, to a great actor and is now very successful as Governor of California. There he said to the reporters, “I could see the flames from my back yard. We were crossing our fingers.”

The aim behind “Brothers & Sisters”, Robert Lowe’s joining Schwarzenegger was to bring forth, the seriousness of the damage caused by these devastating wild fires and offer locals his support: “It’s very sad. Friends and neighbors have lost their whole lives. It was in April 2008, that Rob Lowe filed a defamation lawsuit against Jessica Gibson, the former nanny of his children. In the lawsuit, Lowe accused Jessica of blackmailing him and demanding $1.5 million, to keep mum about the supposed sexual abuse that she had faced at the hands of the actor.

In response to Lowe’s lawsuit, Jessica filed a countersuit against the actor and his wife Sheryl, accusing them of sexual harassment. Jessica had accused Rob of touching her inappropriately several times, groping her and even exposing himself to her. However, Rob had persistently denied the charges and had kept on saying that he had done nothing wrong.

In April 2008 only, another of Lowes former nanny, Laura Boyce had sued the actor’s wife Sheryl, accusing her of sexual harassment and usage of racial and sexual epithets. Lowe had earlier sued Laura, blaming her of defamation as well as violating her confidentiality agreement. Sheryl had also denied all allegations leveled against her and according many witnesses, it was actually Laura, who used racist words.

However, now after a year legal war, the Brothers & Sisters star as well as both the former nannies have dropped the lawsuits. According to the court records, all the lawsuits in question have been dismissed. However, it is not clear whether any financial settlement was made between the concerned parties as the lawyers involved were not divulging anything.

On the popular ABC Network series ‘Brothers & Sisters‘, we see Calista portraying the character of Katherine Anne “Kitty” McCallister aka Kitty. The lady, 44, and her long time partner and now fiancé, Harrison Ford, 66, have plans to adopt a little girl child. And, if it happens, then, a new member would be added to their existing large family. Calista already has an eight year old son, named Liam and Ford has four children from his previous marriages not to mention three grandchildren.

Getty will be playing the role of a wealthy real estate magnate whose wife goes missing. The other actors are Rumer Willis and Anjelica Huston, who will play the roles of the missing woman and private investigator Cynthia Keener, respectively. The episode is currently being shot and is scheduled to be aired sometime in spring this year. Getty, who has been hugely appreciated in his role of Tommy Walker on Brothers & Sisters is reportedly quite excited about the small stint and is looking forward to playing the role.

I have been watching all episodes since Brothers & Sisters premiered on the ABC Network in 2006. It has been one of my favorite shows since it has revived the concept of strong family bonds. Having been bought up in a large family, with eight siblings, I can really associate with the adult lives of the Walker children and their mother, as they go through their best and worst times. It is really sad that Brothers & Sisters has not got its due and has been hugely underrated and unappreciated, in spite of the fact that it is one of the most influential, relatable, raw and real shows currently being aired on television.
