There he said to the reporters, “I could see the flames from my back yard. We were crossing our fingers.”

The aim behind “Brothers & Sisters”, Robert Lowe’s joining Schwarzenegger was to bring forth, the seriousness of the damage caused by these devastating wild fires and offer locals his support: “It’s very sad. Friends and neighbors have lost their whole lives. In response to Lowe’s lawsuit, Jessica filed a countersuit against the actor and his wife Sheryl, accusing them of sexual harassment. Jessica had accused Rob of touching her inappropriately several times, groping her and even exposing himself to her. However, Rob had persistently denied the charges and had kept on saying that he had done nothing wrong.

In April 2008 only, another of Lowes former nanny, Laura Boyce had sued the actor’s wife Sheryl, accusing her of sexual harassment and usage of racial and sexual epithets. Lowe had earlier sued Laura, blaming her of defamation as well as violating her confidentiality agreement. Sheryl had also denied all allegations leveled against her and according many witnesses, it was actually Laura, who used racist words.

However, now after a year legal war, the Brothers & Sisters star as well as both the former nannies have dropped the lawsuits. According to the court records, all the lawsuits in question have been dismissed. However, it is not clear whether any financial settlement was made between the concerned parties as the lawyers involved were not divulging anything.

But Lowe surely must be relieved to have finally been able to get rid of both the lawsuits. As per the latest news coming from the entertainment world, Calista Flockhart is planning to adopt a little girl. On the popular ABC Network series ‘Brothers & Sisters‘, we see Calista portraying the character of Katherine Anne “Kitty” McCallister aka Kitty. The lady, 44, and her long time partner and now fiancé, Harrison Ford, 66, have plans to adopt a little girl child. And, if it happens, then, a new member would be added to their existing large family. Calista already has an eight year old son, named Liam and Ford has four children from his previous marriages not to mention three grandchildren.

Forty year old Actress Rachel Griffiths is pregnant with her third child as per some reports.

The Aussie actress has with her husband Andrew Taylor, two children, Banjo Patrick, 5 (named after famous Australian poet Andrew Barton “Banjo” Paterson) and a girl Adelaide Rose who is just three.

About the show well, she was quoted saying “I’m in the most family-friendly show on television, and everybody there is so supportive and thrilled.”

Information is also pouring in that the pregnancy will not be a part of the divorced mom Sarah’s story plot. This is also due to the fact that the production of the running season would end well in time.

To quote Rachel “We’re almost done [with shooting] and I’m not enormous, so I don’t think there’ll be too much of that,”

She further elaborated at the Australia Week Black Tie Gala to US Magazine “It’s brilliantly timed as I always do with my children, without causing the networks too much stress.”

But don’t worry; she seems to be in mood of disappearing. To US magazine she said “I’ll be back to work pretty quick after, which is intimidating,”

Smallville fans may find it strange to see the man who portrayed pure evil as Lionel Luthor, the morally ambiguous father of Lex Luthor, in a romantic role. But I find the whole idea very interesting. It’s really unfortunate that Glover has been playing just villain when he has such multifaceted talent. He has done diverse and interesting dramatic roles on stage like Tony Award-winning turn in Love! Valour! Compassion! And I am sure it will be fun to watch him return to television in a role that would not inspire our hatred.

It is still unknown when he would make his appearance but it has been confirmed that he would play the love interest of Saul (Ron Rifkin). Saul is the most reserved member of the Walker family who has been struggling with his homosexuality. He recently comes to terms with it after denying it for years. Watching his metamorphosis has been very fascinating. He recently decided to quit Ojai Foods after Holly and Tommy made too many alterations in the business. He takes this opportunity to retire and spend rest of his years looking for love. If Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly is to be believed, then he is going to find love for at least three episodes. Ausiello reports that Saul would meet Andrew (Glover) while attending a symphony and the two soon bond over music, books, art and other classier things in life. I am sure if the whole thing clicks with the audiences, the creators would extend Glover’s role and may even make him a regular. After all, Rifkin is too good an actor to be kept in closet and it can not be denied that he has been underutilized in the series so far. The But considering the fact how crazy Walkers family can be at times, it would not be any surprise if Saul’s boy friend flees after just few episodes.

Brothers & Sisters is a fantastic series which has restored my faith in prime time shows. Its much awaited third season is currently on air and it has me and rest of the fans glued to the screen with its awesome and engaging drama. I must confess that I tear up at least once in most episodes for I find it very moving. Coming from a large family myself, I find the portrayal realistic enough. Writers have finally been able to introduce to audience with the characters that they would want to know and follow what’s happening in their lives. And Rachel Griffith, oh my god, is she good! She is beautiful, she is smart and she can match the acting level as high as Sally Field, another brilliant actress.

My only rue is the promotion of homosexuality on the show. It no more exists in closets and all of us have relatives of friends who are gays. I respect all people and the choices they make but I don’t support this lifestyle. It gets very uncomfortable when the gay son kisses his next play mate or potential partner. In fact, not all gays are promiscuous as portrayed in the show. One of my cousins, who happen to be gay, has been with the same partner for the last 12 years. I honestly hope that show would concentrate more on the family dynamics and less on the physical display of homosexual behavior.

‘Brothers & Sisters’ holds up the mirror to the real America, to crazy dynamics of a typical American dysfunctional family, to disappointments, heartaches, hopes and despairs and finally to forgiveness and healing. It’s my favorite show, and I can’t wait for the next week.
